Founded in Los Angeles in November 2014, The Good Trade covers conscious fashion, beauty, food, wellness, travel and lifestyle. Our readers are enthusiastic, conscious women and men who care deeply about the brands they support. 

The Good Trade was built on the fundamental idea that consumers are capable of driving significant social change through their everyday purchases, consumer preferences and lifestyle choices.

Co-Founder, Editor In Chief

AmyAnn co-founded The Good Trade in 2014 with an intention to share the stories of social impact brands with conscious consumers. She has a Masters of Arts in Social Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine University, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rockhurst University and a strong background in digital and social storytelling. As Editor-In-Chief, she is responsible for overseeing the editorial and creative direction at The Good Trade.

Blake Cadwell

Co-Founder

Blake has more than ten years experience leading digital strategy initiatives across a range of disciplines for Fortune 500 brands. His industry thought leadership on content strategy and long-form publishing has earned him publishing placements at Cannes. Blake has a BA in Communications from Thomas Edison State College. Blake is the Senior Director of Digital Strategy for Day One Agency and Co-Founder of The Good Trade.

Henah Parikh

community manager

Henah is a Community Manager and frequent writer at The Good Trade. She graduated with a dual Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Communication from Rutgers University and an Ed.MA in Social Entrepreneurship from Pepperdine University. She also serves as the Student Experience Program Manager at BUILD NYC, a nonprofit that teaches 9th graders from underserved communities about entrepreneurship to help them gain skills for college and career readiness.

Emily Torres

EDITOR

Emily is an Editor at The Good Trade and the writer behind Ennaree, a blog dedicated to intentional, colorful living. She’s a Los Angeles transplant who was born and raised in Indiana, where she studied Creative Writing and Business at Indiana University. You can usually find her reading or writing, caring for her two rabbits, or practicing at the hot yoga studio.

Courtney Jay Biebl

Content strategist

Courtney Jay is the Content Strategist at The Good Trade. She is also a Yoga Instructor, vegetarian, wellness and fashion enthusiast. Originally from Colorado, her soul found California when she came to get her degree in Visual Communications at the Fashion Institute Of Design & Merchandising. She has a background in telling a story through writing, creative direction and content creation. Her online blog hosts her unique perspective on the mergence of fashion and spirituality.

STAFF WRITER

Kayti Christian is a Staff Writer at The Good Trade, a writer, storyteller, and human rights activist. With 30+ stamps in her passport and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies & International Development, she is passionate about the environment, sustainable development, and conscious living. She currently writes at Word from the Woods, a personal lifestyle blog, and is pursuing her Masters in Creative Writing.

Sarah is a California girl through and through. She has a BA in World History from one of the top 10 greenest campuses in the world; The University of California, Merced and is a Content Curator for the visual travel app Trepic. She has a background in museum curating, loves reading women’s travel journals and is in search of the perfect IPA. She’s passionate about exploring this beautiful world that ethically-produced goods help to protect.

Kassia Binkowski is a Contributing Editor at The Good Trade and the Founder of One Thousand Design. She grew up in Madison, WI and traveled her way around the world to Boulder, CO which she now calls home. Nestled against the Rocky Mountains, Kassia supports innovative organizations from Colorado to Kathmandu tell their stories of social change through writing, photography, and design. Kassia is an eternal optimist and forever a backroad wanderer.

Abigail Davidson is a contributor to The Good Trade and the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Freestate, a resource that makes it easier for consumers to shop and live ethically. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with experience in mental health, sales, marketing, and freelance writing. Standing at 5’1, she is currently documenting her own petite journey to a personal style and sharing the tips and tricks she discovers along the way.
