Face Exfoliators For Radiant Skin ✨

Open any skincare 101 tutorial, and it’ll mention the importance of exfoliation—aka the process of removing dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. Typically, exfoliation happens with the help of a chemical peel, microdermabrasion, or a scrub.

Exfoliating our face, though, isn’t the same as scrubbing our legs and arms since facial skin is far more sensitive and susceptible to rashes or burns. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t exfoliate! As we age, regular exfoliating can help slough away dead skin cells, revive dull skin, prevent clogged pores, and improve the effectiveness of our skincare products.

The American Academy of Dermatology shares a few tips to prevent skin damage from face exfoliating: Consider the skin products you already use and if exfoliating while using them will worsen your skin. And, be sure to select an exfoliating scrub that suits your skin type (we’ve got some we love!), and find the right schedule for your needs.

Below we’ve rounded up seven of the best face exfoliating scrubs—they’re gentle yet effective, and all are made with natural or organic ingredients. (As you’re exfoliating, remember to use small, circular motions for 30 seconds, then rinse off with warm water.)

Once you’ve pat (don’t rub!) your skin dry, apply your moisturizer, sunscreen, and oil of choice. Do this a few times a week—no more than two or three—and you should see results in a month or two. 😍
