Have Heart, Do Well

The Heart Series’ third annual conference was held on February 16-17 in West Los Angeles, bringing together yet another incredible lineup of social impact brands and thought leaders. We were honored to attend again this year, what a powerful and inspiring gathering of like-minded people!

The Event

Megan Sette and Gail Cayetano Classick co-founded The Heart Series with a vision to create a conference that was both intimate and ‘retreat-like’, and one that encouraged innovation and collaboration among social good entrepreneurs. Packed with meaningful content and group activities, the conference maintained a true sense of community that the founders have carefully fostered at each annual event.

Key Takeaways

This year’s conference included dynamic speakers and panelists from Google, B Labs, Global Citizen, Homeboy IndustriesEnrou and more who each shared best practices for social impact. The speakers incorporated timely themes of inclusion, diversity and global citizenship.

Thought leaders from Upworthy, Youtube, and Kindness.Org encouraged attendees that the way to shift cultural narratives for social impact is always through human stories that evoke empathy and inspire action. Other panel topics included discussions on establishing meaningful business relationships, identifying your organization’s key values and tackling design thinking and innovations.
