We Review Sunday’s Furniture Form Coffee Table (2025)
Summary: The Sundays Form Coffee Table has been the perfect addition to our home — it’s solid oak, beautifully made, and the rounded corners feel especially thoughtful with a baby on the way. It came in just three pieces (bless) and took us maybe five minutes to put together, which felt like a small gift in a very full season. Yes, it’s an investment and definitely heavy, but it’s one of those pieces that grounds the room and makes everyday moments feel a little more intentional.
Pros
- Timeless, child-friendly design: The Form Coffee Table features rounded corners that are both stylish and practical—ideal for homes with little ones (no foam bumpers needed).
- High-quality, sustainable craftsmanship: Crafted from FSC® and Rainforest Alliance-certified solid oak, it’s sturdy, beautifully made, and designed to last.
- Quick and simple assembly: The Sundays Form Coffee Table arrives in just three pieces and takes about five minutes to assemble, with all tools included.
Cons
- Very heavy: The Form Coffee Table is crafted from solid oak and ships in a single box. It might be challenging to move around your space without help and, once set up, it’s a hefty piece that requires two people to move around the space.
- Limited finish options: The Form Coffee Table features a minimalist, neutral design that may not suit those seeking bold colors or more eclectic styles.
- Cost: At $ 1,050, this coffee table is an investment piece and one you’ll want to hold onto forever.
When my husband and I moved into a cozy backhouse rental — our first real home with a yard and space to breathe — I found myself taking inventory of all our possessions, specifically our furniture. What was serving us, and what wasn’t?
After years of thrifted finds and Facebook marketplace scores, our space had character, but also a few too many wobbly pieces. Our coffee table choices, for example, were a revolving door of “it’ll do for now” options: scratched surfaces, chipped corners; glass that looked beautiful until you had to clean it every day; another that couldn’t quite balance a drink without a coaster and a prayer.
And yet, this piece of furniture, which we treated like an afterthought, held so much of our lives. It’s where we eat our Friday night takeout, where we gather with friends over games and wine, where our dog curls up at our feet as we sip coffee and flip through books on weekend mornings. I began to realize we didn’t just need a better coffee table — we needed something that could hold the rituals of our life with care.
“I began to realize we didn’t just need a better coffee table — we needed something that could hold the rituals of our life with care.”
So, when we moved this past winter, I began the hunt. With a baby on the way, I was drawn to furniture that felt safer, softer, and more intentional. I also wanted something sustainable and built of natural materials, like wood. That’s when I discovered the Form Coffee Table from Sundays.
The square version in white oak was everything we didn’t know we were looking for: timeless and grounded, with rounded corners that feel gentle and practical (no foam bumpers needed for the baby). The brand describes it as “understated, enduring, and crafted from solid oak — so trust it will be a constant staple no matter how your style evolves over the years.” And at 36” W x 36” D x 12” H, I knew it would fit perfectly with our L-shaped sectional and in our small living room. My decision was made.
About Sundays
First, a bit about Sundays Furniture as a company: Sundays is a Canadian furniture brand that started in Vancouver in 2019 and was founded by four friends with a background in retail and design. Their goal was simple: to make high-quality, timeless furniture that’s easy to shop for and live with. The kind of pieces that feel like a breath of fresh air — elevated, but not intimidating. Just like a really good Sunday morning.

They offer a curated range of furniture for nearly every room in the house — living, dining, bedroom, and even outdoor spaces. The style is clean and cozy, with a focus on soft neutrals, rounded edges, and thoughtful details that blend effortlessly into any home. Over half of their products are designed in-house, which helps them maintain consistency in both design and quality.
What I really appreciate is their commitment to doing things the right way. Sundays uses FSC-certified wood, their rugs are GoodWeave-certified (which means they’re made without child labor), and they steer clear of flame retardants in their upholstery. They also focus on creating durable pieces that last, which feels more important than ever in a world of fast furniture.
Finally, the brand also has a few showrooms where you can see the furniture first-hand. With everything being online these days, it’s nice to get up close to a piece and see it in person before making such a significant investment.

A very (very) heavy delivery
Sundays offers complimentary doorstep delivery for large items across all Canadian provinces and the continental U.S. — shipping is free for all orders within Canada and the U.S. Our coffee table arrived in one massive (and seriously heavy) box, weighing over 100 pounds. Let’s just say I’ve never been more grateful for choosing a rental without stairs or awkward corners, unlike every single apartment we’ve lived in before.

Once my husband and I got the box inside — a quick and easy task with the two of us — we opened it to find the coffee table neatly packed in three pieces: the top and two sides. Assembly was refreshingly simple, just a few screws and a hex key (all included). The whole process took maybe five minutes, from carrying the box in to putting the final piece in place — a small gift of ease in an otherwise full season.

My 60-day review
We’ve now owned our Sundays Form Coffee Table for about two months, and what I love most is how quietly it fits into our days. The natural wood adds warmth to our space, and the surface is forgiving to spills, scratches, and fingerprints, which is such a gift after owning a glass coffee table for four years. The design is minimal but not cold, sturdy without feeling bulky, and clearly made with care. People ask about it when they come over, and it feels good to share the brand’s mission and that the table is FSC® certified and made with Rainforest Alliance-certified wood.

We’ve already shared so many small moments around this table — morning coffee (obviously), bowls of ice cream over season three of White Lotus, opening baby shower gifts. It supports the life that unfolds around it, which is exactly what I wanted and what a coffee table should do. Sometimes, investing in what grounds you — literally and figuratively — makes all the difference.

I’m already eyeing a few more pieces from the Sundays collection for our home — the Form Bench for our entryway and the Teak Coffee Table for summer evenings in the backyard.
With a steady stream of bestsellers and new arrivals throughout the year, it’s the kind of sustainable home brand that makes it easy to bring intentional, beautifully crafted pieces into your space. Sundays has truly earned my trust — and my admiration. Every piece is as well-made as it is stunning.
