I have always loved fashion since I was a little girl. I loved (and still love) to shop but would often feel like I had nothing to wear in my closet. Then one day one of my friends at work told me about capsule wardrobes and I was immediately hooked. I love making lists and planning so I decided to try it out and document my experience through my blog.

As I learned about slow fashion and sustainability I decided that if I was going to replace or if I needed a new item in my closet that I would first try to find a responsibly-made garment.

While on this capsule journey I also started to discover some amazing designers that were making quality products by hand in an ethical way. As I learned about slow fashion and sustainability I decided that if I was going to replace or if I needed a new item in my closet that I would first try to find a responsibly-made garment. I’ve always been fascinated by what people can make and do and supporting makers that are trying to change the fast fashion industry is unbelievably rewarding.

My style has definitely changed over the past couple years but as of now I’m really focused on neutral palettes and mixing street style with feminine pieces.

Monday

I actually wore this outfit to go see The Last Jedi in theaters and it has been on repeat ever since! My linen Florence pants are one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe and I’m so happy that I can just add some tights or leggings underneath and stay nice and toasty in the winter. Also fun fact, this green sweater is the only actually color item in my winter capsule right now!

Today’s Pieces:

Old Madewell Coat | Old Madewell Sweater | Old Tights
Elizabeth Suzann Florence Linen Pants | Veja Esplar Leather White Shoes

Tuesday

I actually got this puffer jacket at the Portland Clothing Swap that happened a few weeks ago. I had never been to a clothing swap of this magnitude before and the process was very cool but intense. All you had to do was bring a bag of clothes to add to the swap and then you could fill up the bag you brought with items that you wanted. I was super happy to have found this puffer in the madness (there were people everywhere digging through clothes!).  Most of my coats are long dusters or peacoats and I feel that this puffer is a nice change from my norm.

Today’s Pieces:

Vintage Jacket | Vintage Turtleneck from The Brooding Kind
Jesse Kamm Sailor Pants | Everlane Brixton Boot
Vintage Earrings from Whiskey & Honey | Vintage Coach Purse

Wednesday

I’m always looking for ways to stay comfortable but still feel dressed up for date nights or special occasions. This dress by Solika is just like a giant sweatshirt but still feels chic. It also has amazing pockets which is always a plus when it comes to dresses!

Today’s Pieces:

Solika Charcoal Dress | Old American Apparel Opaque Tights
Intentionally Blank Dicey Mules | Old Free People Scarf
Young Frankk Hand Earrings

Thursday

I love the components of this look. It has a great casual every day vibe but could easily be dressed up with a heeled boot or pump and changing out the denim duster for a long black duster. I love it when I find outfits that are so easy to transition from day to night!

Today’s Pieces:

Vintage Coat from The Yo! Store | Vintage Shirt from The Brooding Kind
Elizabeth Suzann Florence Cotton Canvas Pants | Secondhand Converse
Vintage Coach Purse

Friday

Lately I’ve been playing around with mixing masculine and feminine pieces and I think this look is a great blend of both. The blouse is a soft and gentle piece in comparison to the oversized but still structured blazer. I also love the color components of cream, white, houndstooth and black. It’s put together but doesn’t feel stuffy or stiff.

Today’s Pieces:

Vintage Blazer | Millie & Lou Custom Blouse | Agolde Jeans
Vintage Shoes
