Especially for days where you don’t feel your best, comfortable clothes are key.

I always focus on good quality of the material and a good fit. With clothes that fit well you can create almost any look and will feel fine. Especially for days where you don’t feel your best, comfortable clothes are key.

When it comes to styling, I love to get creative with the business dress code. A chic silk blouse and sneakers. Office pants and a relaxed sweater. These work for not-too serious workdays and the rest of the day. On my blog, I like to share my outfit ideas and how amazing sustainable fashion and a conscious consumption can be.

When you want to achieve a sustainable closet, start with what you have. Once you have a proper look in your closet, you’ll find some new old favorites or can tailor something a little bit to feel comfortable in it again—get creative. A capsule wardrobe can be a good start in the beginning, if you are unsure about your style, although I personally prefer my big(ger) wardrobe so I can always dress as I like. On vacation, though, a capsule works perfectly for me.

It is also important to think before you buy: Will it add to your closet? Does it go with most of your outfits? Does it fit perfectly? Don’t be afraid to ask for the working conditions or sustainability of the fabric, or just conduct a quick google search yourself. If the brand is not able to tell you or be transparent, then it’s okay to pass on it if that feels right to you.

If you need something and are unsure, start with the basics. There are good sustainable brands with great basics out there, but always think carefully if you really need this piece of clothing.

I personally prefer my big(ger) wardrobe so I can always dress as I like. On vacation, though, a capsule works perfectly for me.

Monday

With good clothes, you will never feel bad. This is what I remind myself on days where I do not feel like myself. This beautiful dress by Elementy is the perfect Office summer staple. Chic, yet the color brightens up the mood. I’m styling it more relaxed with a vegan biker jacket and an old pair of lace-ups.

Today’s Pieces:

Elementy Dress
Myrka Studios Jacket
Angela Roi Bag
COX Shoes

Tuesday

Summer workwear can be a bummer, so when I’m not completely bound to a dress code, I love to go for linen clothing. There are plenty of brands producing cool linen products, by mixing clean cuts and linen fabric.

Today’s Pieces:

notPERFECTLINEN Jumpsuit
St. Agni Shoes
Fjällräven Re-Kånken Backpack

Wednesday

Stripes are my favorite—you can never go wrong with stripes. This comfy outfit gets its elegance from the stripes and shoes. To my mind, this outfit is a version of pajamas that’s appropriate to leave the house in. When it comes to jewelry, I’m a real minimalist. Just a watch and delicate earrings normally, yet for this look I choose a pair of statement earrings.

Today’s Pieces:

Vintage Shirt
Secondhand Culottes
St. Agni Shoes
Angela Roi Bag

Thursday

This is a cool look for wandering between meetings or a casual after-work drink. The skirt has a kangaroo pocket, so you can carry the most important things there and don’t even need a bag.

Today’s Pieces:

Myrka Studios Skirt
NAGO Bodysuit
Veja Shoes

Friday

You never go wrong with a good pair of jeans and a white shirt on a casual Friday! A go-to when you’re not sure what to wear, and it doesn’t make too much of a statement for more serious Friday meetings. I gained some weight, but really liked the fit of these jeans, so I swapped the pants into a bigger size and couldn’t be happier about it.

Today’s Pieces:

Elementy Trenchcoat
Vanewonderland Shirt
Monki Jeans
Veja Shoes

Saturday

For running errands on a Saturday, like grocery shopping or meetings with friends, I like to take my bike and wear comfortable clothes. This sweater is made from a very soft organic cotton and I love how comfy it is. These are the same jeans from yesterday—I usually wear my clothes a couple of times between the washes, except if they smell. It’s more sustainable, because it saves water and extends the life of the garment.

Today’s Pieces:

Jan ‘n June Trumpet Sleeve Shirt
Monki Jeans
Veja Shoes
Angela Roi Bag

Sunday

An absolute basic in sustainability is to use what you have. I got this dress many years ago and still love it. The upcycled crossbody bag by the brand DZAINO is from this year, yet already the perfect go-to when you want to carry light or are not allowed to bring any bags, e.g. for festivals or concerts. This is the perfect outfit for dancing at concerts or relaxing outside on a Sunday.

Today’s Pieces:

Brandy Melville Dress
Veja Shoes
DZAINO Bag
