I’m a proponent of shopping smart and owning a few quality, key pieces that you can mix and match in different ways. As an added benefit, keeping a small closet simplifies the process of getting dressed in the morning. I spend a lot of time finding and picking out those few pieces, so that when I do buy something, it gets a lot of wear!

I am always on the search for the perfect fitting, comfortable t-shirt as I love pairing tees and jeans with a casual heel or mule such as our Paloma Mule and an oversized cardigan or jacket. Accessories are where I add variety—hats, scarves, jewelry, handbags, and shoes are where I have some fun and add more color into my outfits. Materials are also a really important piece—I avoid synthetic materials and rather look for 100 percent cottons, linens, and wools. They feel better on my skin, last longer, and are better for the environment.

Monday

I love this outfit for it’s cozy yet put-together look. I found this sweater at a sample sale comprised of LA designers who design and produce small batch in LA. I love the way RE/DONE repurposes old Levi’s that can be challenging to fit into slightly more modern fits. The vintage wear of the jeans is hard to replicate in new denim.

I’ve had the same Warby Parker frames since 2012 when I discovered them at one of their first showrooms at Imogene & Willie in Nashville. I just update the prescription when necessary. My Nisolo Ama mules are my go-to shoes—they are so easy to pair with just about any outfit in a way that always seems to complete the look. And lastly these Nisolo link earrings can be dressed up or dressed down to provide some fun to any outfit!

Today’s Pieces:

Shaina Mote Sweater
Re/done Jeans
Nisolo Ama Mule in Woven Brown
Warby Parker Prescription Glasses
Nisolo Link Earrings

Tuesday

I love all of the fabrics that Elizabeth Suzanne uses—and this linen tee is so versatile and quality feeling. The Nisolo Dari boot is a great boot to wear from work to dinner—just the right amount of heel to make you feel dressed up and also comfortable enough to wear all day long. And the heel is the perfect height to dress up my favorite Jesse Kamm pants.

Today’s Pieces:

Jesse Kamm Sailor Pant
Elizabeth Suzanne Georgia Linen Tee
Nisolo Dari Boot
Nisolo Thin Hammered Ring

Wednesday

I’m always on the search for the perfect white t-shirt. This linen tee comes pretty close for me! These Apiece Apart pants are a great mixture of lightweight and comfortable with professional—I like dressing them both up and down. My Nisolo Sarita shoes are the perfect sandal when I want a little bit of height. The platform makes them easy to wear while still giving me a few extra inches.

My stepmom gifted me this scarf over the holidays and I’ve hardly taken it off since. The cashmere is incredibly soft and makes it so comfortable to wear whether it’s cold or warm out. I am a hoop earring aficionado. My mom gave me my first pair of gold hoops in high school and when I’m not wearing those, I like to dress up any outfit with these slightly bolder hoops. I love the way they stand out through my thick hair!

Today’s Pieces:

Apiece Apart Navy Merida Pants
Wilt Linen Tee
Nisolo Sarita in Whiskey
The Cashmere Project Scarf
Laura Lombardi Curve Earrings
Nisolo Thin Hammered Ring
Vintage Bracelet and Signet Ring

Thursday

I met the co-founder of Nanushka at a friend’s wedding a few years ago and instantly fell in love with this brand. This cozy full-length cardigan has turned into one of my staple pieces—and is especially comfy to travel in. The Nisolo Paloma mule makes for an easy way to dress up an outfit without going overboard. When I’m looking to wear high-waisted and comfortable jeans I throw on these CofH jeans. The gold choker that I’m wearing was made by my mom’s boyfriend in the 70’s for her and is one of my most favorite pieces of jewelry—it’s delicate, simple and beautiful.

Today’s Pieces:

Nanushka Cardigan
Citizens of Humanity Jeans
Nisolo Paloma
Mom’s Vintage Gold Choker

Friday

I rarely take these Jesse Kamm pants off. And the color is the perfect earth tone that seems to go with everything. These sandals are one of our newer styles that I’ve also found myself reaching for pretty often. I like the comfort that a full-heeled sandal offers but the freshness of the peeptoe. I found this Sam Roberts LA hat at a crafts market a few winters ago and when I saw the beautiful hand beading work on the back I could not pass it up.

Today’s Pieces:

Jesse Kamm Sailor Pant
Reformation White Tee
Nisolo Topanga Peeptoe Sandal
Warby Parker Sunglasses
Sam Roberts LA Hat
Vintage Jewelry

Saturday

I love classic crew neck t-shirts, especially in soft, vintage inspired materials and the earthy colors of Buck Mason’s tees seem to go with everything. These Apiece Apart pants in white denim are great for spring and summer and so are the Nisolo Ecuador Huarache sandals. These sandals literally go with everything and are great for traveling.

Today’s Pieces:

Apiece Apart White Denim Merida Pant
Buck Mason Men’s Slub Curbed Hem Tee
Nisolo Ecuador Huarache in Natural
Warby Parker Sunglasses

Sunday

I went through an Equipment silk shirt phase a few years back and this peach one keeps popping into rotation for me. I like to wear it with casual jeans and the Nisolo Mariella Mule for a simple, but classic look.

Today’s Pieces:

Equipment Silk Button Up
Citizens of Humanity Jeans
Mariella Mule in Sand
