Summary: I continue to revisit Sézane‘s seasonal collections every time my wardrobe needs a refresh – and for good reason. The online store feels like shopping at a rare boutique shop, and I always come across unique designs I never find anywhere else. Each piece looks exquisite and is crafted with sustainability in mind.

What I love:

  • Each clothing item is intentionally made in small batches and is of high quality. I’ve been wearing Sézane clothing for many years, and each item has held up beautifully.
  • The clothing designs strike the perfect balance of unique yet timeless.
  • The company is a B Corp and prioritizes natural and sustainable fabrics. The majority of their pieces are made in Europe in audited factories, and each order comes in recycled packaging.
  • Sézane donates 10% of sales on the 21st of every month to various nonprofit organizations that support children.
  • Orders over $50 come with a complimentary gift!

Things to keep in mind:

  • The clothing items are pricey; however, for the experience and quality of the clothing, it is well worth it.

My closet favorites:

Folded clothes, a pair of brown sandals, a scarf in packaging, and a cream tote bag are arranged on a wooden surface.
These are the pieces that I picked up from Sézane for summer 2026.

Sézane is a brand that gives us permission to dream — to explore the possibilities within our wardrobes through effortless ease, bold prints, and silhouettes that push our boundaries in ways only a French brand could.

The first stop of the Sézane experience is, of course, their website. In my opinion, it’s one of the few online shopping experiences that truly feels like stepping into a small boutique hosting a soirée. There’s an aliveness to the experience that’s rare to find elsewhere. It feels intimate, too, and I adore the way each collection is curated, gently guiding you through every piece and how it might be worn.

But beyond the enchantment, you’ll find a brand that’s much more than beautifully curated outfits. Sézane is deeply committed to philanthropy and to supporting both the planet and the people on it — and they have the certifications to back it up. For starters, they’re a B Corp, and their clothing is GOTS-, Oeko-Tex-, FSC-, Ecovero-, RWS-, and RMS-certified. Their fabrics prioritize sustainability, incorporating organic and recycled cotton, viscose sourced from sustainably managed forests, 100% mulesing-free recycled wool, and responsibly tanned leather. The list goes on.

The brand also runs its own philanthropic initiative, DEMAIN — meaning “tomorrow” in French — which donates 10% of sales on the 21st of every month to help “children access education, culture, and equal opportunity.”

To discover whether Sézane’s clothing truly lived up to the dream, we decided to try it for ourselves. Here’s my experience:

Shipping + unboxing

A box with vertical yellow stripes, containing a wrapped item, an envelope, and the words "PARIS MON AMOUR" and a short printed message on the inner lid.
My order arrived elegantly wrapped in tissue in this adorable box.

The clothing arrived in a large box adorned with an elegant cursive sticker that read, “Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and writing the story of Sézane by your side.” Upon opening it, I was greeted by the beautiful design lining the inside lid.

My box featured bright yellow stripes, and each garment was carefully wrapped in tissue paper — not plastic — that perfectly matched the striped design. In the past, the brand included scented stickers to seal the wrapping, but this time I didn’t notice any fragrance, which some shoppers will likely appreciate given past complaints about the scent.

For this review, I selected pieces that could carry me through spring and summer: Timeless, elegant staples designed for the warmer months. As I unwrapped each item, I could immediately feel the quality and found myself excited to imagine all the ways I might wear them.

To my surprise, Sézane also included a gorgeous canvas tote and one of their stunning scarves — admittedly, I’ve become something of a collector of their scarves over the years. They feel like an essential part of the Sézane uniform. It turns out that orders over $50 (which, let’s be honest, is easy to do on their site) come with a complimentary gift. Yet another thoughtful touch that adds to the magic of shopping with the brand.

New pieces for spring & summer

Taya Top, XS | Cream | $120

The first piece I unveiled was this asymmetrical sleeveless knit crop top. It felt incredibly precious and delicate in my hands. What initially drew me to it was the detailing: The vertical knitted stripes and the oversized beaded knot elegantly fastening one strap at the shoulder. It’s sophisticated, timeless, and unlike anything else currently in my wardrobe.

The top is quite fitted and leaves little room for imagination. The fabric is slightly sheer, meaning a bra doesn’t pair easily underneath, so there is some nipple exposure. Yet somehow, that also felt very French — a more relaxed, accepting approach to dressing, allowing the fabric to simply exist on the body without trying to force it into perfection.

That said, I do think this piece would be more difficult for those with larger chests. There’s no built-in support, and the delicate fabric naturally lends itself to a more exposed silhouette.

The Wide Leg Trousers, 2 | Shilo Print | $165

If you know me, you know I can never resist a floral pattern. When I spotted these floral wide-leg trousers, I genuinely gasped.

At first, I worried the corduroy fabric might feel too heavy for spring and summer. Thankfully, they’re surprisingly lightweight — nothing like the thick corduroy you might imagine. Made from 98% organic, GOTS-certified cotton, the fabric has a soft, smooth feel with just enough structure. Once on, they’re stretchy and comfortable while still feeling beautifully tailored, hugging all the right places. I especially love the high-waisted fit, which feels both flattering and timeless.

That said, the legs are quite long at 33.1 inches, and unfortunately, on my 5’4″ frame — and with my preference for a more cropped silhouette — they were simply too long.

Le City Shorts, 2 | Dark Blue | $125

Next up in my box were the perfect timeless denim shorts: The Le City Shorts. I’m a huge denim lover, and living in the mountains of Colorado, high-quality denim feels essential for every season.

I’ve never really considered myself a shorts person because I often find them uncomfortable for all-day wear, and it’s surprisingly difficult to find a pair that fits just right. Yet I absolutely adore these shorts. Not only do they fit like a glove, but they’re made from organic, GOTS-certified cotton, making them incredibly soft with just the right amount of stretch. I could easily wear these all day and feel completely comfortable.

I also love the dark blue wash, which feels sophisticated, timeless, and versatile enough to pair with virtually everything in my wardrobe. These shorts are one of Sézane’s signature ready-to-wear staples — a style that remains a constant on the site while returning in fresh new colorways season after season.

Maria Low Mule, US 7 | Caramel | $215

These are the first Sézane shoes I’ve had the pleasure of trying, and they immediately felt special. The gorgeous mules feature a fully hand-carved wooden sole, suede leather exterior, and hand-assembled construction throughout.

My first impression was how surprisingly lightweight they felt despite the wooden base. You can truly see the craftsmanship and care in every detail. Unfortunately, my heart sank a bit when I tried them on. Even though I ordered my usual size, they fit about a half size too large in both length and width. I have narrow feet, and the strap felt far too loose — to the point that my feet slipped out while walking. It’s definitely something to keep in mind if you also have narrower feet.

That said, I still absolutely adore the style and the beautifully handmade quality of the shoes.

Alycia Shirt, 2 | Placed Ecru Embroidery | $150

Last but certainly not least: The Alycia Shirt featured in the April Collection. I absolutely adore this piece. It’s one of those timeless tops I can throw on with almost anything and instantly feel effortlessly sophisticated — with just the right touch of romance and elegance.

My favorite details are the intricate embroidery, which extends all the way to the ends of the bell sleeves, and the scalloped hidden button placket running down the front. These thoughtful touches make the shirt feel especially elevated and unique.

I loved pairing it with the Le City Shorts for a more everyday look. The slightly cropped fit works beautifully with high-waisted bottoms, whether tucked in or worn loose. Made from organic cotton, the fabric feels lightweight yet structured, making it comfortable enough for all-day wear while still polished enough for a variety of occasions.

My overall thoughts on Sézane

Sézane holds a unique place in the fashion world. Not only does the brand create stunning, small-batch wardrobe staples, but it does so with thoughtfulness — remaining earth-conscious, people-forward, and deeply intentional in its approach. It’s the kind of brand you can return to again and again when you want to refresh your wardrobe with timeless, beautifully made essentials that feel destined to be loved for years rather than discarded after a season.

Each of these pieces feels like something I’ll hold onto for years to come — not only because of their timeless design, but because of their quality and craftsmanship.

Tu es mon amour.
