9 Best Olive Oil Brands Subscriptions (2025 Review)
The Good Trade editors endorse products we’ve personally researched, tested, and genuinely love. Learn more about our methodology and business model here.
Our team has tasted and cooked with many of the best quality olive oils on the market — these are our favorite brands offering subscriptions so you never run out.
You may have seen the recent news on Blue Zones (the areas of the world where people live the longest), which include parts of Greece, Sardinia in Italy, and California. One staple in the daily diets of those populations? Olive oil. 🫒
Rather than using butter or other animal-based fats, olive oil is a plant-based alternative that comes with several health benefits. According to Healthline, extra virgin olive oil contains antioxidants, vitamins E and K, and has anti-inflammatory properties. Studies have also shown that more than a half tablespoon of olive oil daily may even lower your risk of heart disease.
Plus, with a mild yet velvety taste, olive oil can be used across many dishes and cooking methods. Whether you’re making a pasta sauce or a vinaigrette, sauteing veggies or roasting sweet potatoes, a good olive oil makes everything taste better. It highlights other flavors and is super easy to cook with.
Given that, we go through our bottles of EVOO quickly — and that’s why we recommend grabbing a subscription when you find one you truly love. That way, the brand can prepare their harvests accordingly, you’ll receive a discount for regular orders, and you’ll never be caught without it.
Why is a high-quality olive oil important?
Unfortunately, many store-bought EVOOs use combinations of olive oil with vegetable or soybean oils to cut costs. But high-quality olive oil is better for your health (and your palette) — once you’ve tried a truly flavorful EVOO, you can never go back.
So, how is pure olive oil made? Production involves six steps: Harvesting, processing, malaxation, pressing, refining, and bottling. Every fall — usually between October and November, depending on how ripe the olives should be for their distinct blends — olives are picked by machine or by hand. Then they’re crushed into pulp and milled into a thick paste. Malaxation involves adding water and then churning the entire paste. The next step is pressing, which separates the olive oil from the water and pulp mixture. But here’s the key: Lower-quality olive oils may refine their flavors using heat and chemicals, but a high-quality EVOO won’t. Finally, it’s bottled and shipped out to distributors or directly to you.
Finally, let’s discuss the age-old question: What is the difference between virgin olive oil and extra-virgin? According to The Kitchn, “Olive oil is graded by its level of acidity or free oleic acid. The amount of free oleic acid in olive oil indicates the extent to which fat has broken down into fatty acids.” Extra-virgin olive oil has a low level of oleic acid since it’s been unrefined — it’s also the highest quality you can purchase, as it comes with specific labeling standards and the most flavorful tastes. (There are bonus points too if you can find organic EVOO!)

Customer Review | “Words fall short for this olive oil. If you’re like I was, you’re just buying something mid-tier from the grocery store, thinking they all taste roughly the same, why does it even matter which you get?! You are, like I was, woefully incorrect… I am a customer for life. You could drink this stuff. You drizzle it on toast and it tastes like you slathered the toast in butter. It is perfect for cooking everything… If you are reading this review for some reason – GET THIS. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.” — Timothy M. (Read all reviews.)
