Summary: Despite my carefully laid plans, I found myself needing extra support after the birth of my second child. I turned to Perelel’s line of prenatals, vitamins, and supplements which I’d heard good things about, especially for those starting their pregnancy journey. Perelel eliminates the guesswork with high-quality ingredients carefully selected by doctors — and their products never include additives or fillers, plus they’re third-party tested for microbes, heavy metals, and purity. I love that there’s extensive research backing up these products, so I can trust they’re offering the best support for moms and babies.

Pros:

  • I love that Perelel’s products nourish the body at a cellular level. They support you before, during, and after pregnancy, and even into perimenopause.
  • Being a mom of two, I’m obsessed with the Mom Multi Support Pack. It soothes my body and nervous system and the pill pack design makes it easy and quick to take.
  • Their packs are easy to travel with and take on the go. I’ll often put one in my purse or pocket to take while on errands.
  • You can take their online quiz to personalize your routine based on your specific needs.

Cons:

  • Perelel is a higher-end product, and that is reflected in the cost of their supplements (but since each pack has multiple capsules, the price per pill is economical).
  • Potent flavors in greens, sleep, and hydration powders may not be for everyone.

In preparation for the birth of my second baby, I wanted a completely different postpartum protocol than I had with my first. This included getting a postpartum doula, arranging a meal train, and making a basket with tinctures, herbs, and supplements. All of which was aimed at helping ease the healing process during such a delicate time.

Despite my efforts, postpartum anxiety arrived about a month after my baby was born. I readdressed what my body needed as I felt the hormones shift. That’s when Perelel came into my life. Their line of motherhood support was exactly what I was looking for. I started looking into their Mom Multi Support Pack which is made with everything for easing stress, helping my immune system, supporting energy, and continuing to nourish my body. (And the pack is quick and efficient — two words we moms with multiple kids live by!) Quickly I became interested in the brand’s full line of clean, clinically proven supplements like their greens and hydration powders, sleep support, and probiotic, too.

Perelel came into my life right when postpartum anxiety with my second child hit, and it made all the difference for me in a delicate time!

I wanted to learn more about what Perelel offers to women from prenatals to perimenopause support so I jumped on the opportunity to review them. Below I dive into what is special about Perelel and my firsthand review of their products with notes on everything from packaging to taste and how I felt afterward. ✨

About Perelel

Perelel was started by an OB/GYN and two mothers who recognized a gap in the prenatal vitamin market. The brand makes well-researched, high-quality, bioavailable, and clean vitamins and supplements to support women at all stages. Perelel’s products are formulated by a panel of top OB/GYNs, fertility doctors, doulas, dietitians, naturopaths, and women’s health experts. All of Perelel’s products are third-party tested and go through a strict safety process to ensure their products go through microbe, heavy metal, and purity testing. Their formulas are certified by the Clean Label Project and they earned the top honor, the Purity Award.

“The brand makes well-researched, high-quality, bioavailable, and clean vitamins and supplements to support women at all stages.”

Not to mention, by eliminating plastic supplement bottles, they use 300% less plastic than leading brands. All of Perelel’s bottles are recyclable and their shipping and packaging are made from recycled materials and can be recycled. They’ve also partnered with Terracycle to recycle their pill sachets. Just save them in a box and they’ll send you a label to ship. I’m impressed by how thoughtful and sustainable Perelel is from end to end.

My review of Perelel

Upon opening my Perelel box, I was taken by how beautiful the products looked together. Unlike typical supplement brands, Perelel looks elegant out on my counter or nightstand. I was also pleasantly surprised to see how large the greens and hydration powder canisters were — these were going to last me a while!

I couldn’t wait to try the greens and hydration powders and added them to my water right away. Because of the two flavors, there was a bit too much going on taste-wise. I decided to establish a protocol. Greens powder in the morning and sip on the hydration powder in my water throughout the day. I placed my Mom Multi Box on my nightstand to take with breakfast. I opted to take my probiotics at night. I find I’m more bloated before bed, and I like the idea of the probiotics working while I sleep. I’d take that along with the Sleep Support powder in the evenings to wind down.

Below, I dig into my experience with each product and what you need to know!

Mom Multi Support Pack | $49.50/month

Every time I take this multivitamin pack, I feel like I’m putting on my mom superhero cape. The name alone gives me the strength to start my day as a parent. When I first saw the ingredients, I literally did a little happy dance. Each daily pack has a clinically proven combo of postnatal multivitamin, omega DHA + EPA, a stress support blend (thank you!), and a beauty blend.

We’re often told to continue taking our prenatal vitamins after giving birth which is great. But I love that Perelel has developed a specifically postnatal vitamin routine that can better support your healing after birth. The entire pack includes 5 pills with essential nutrients such as B vitamins, vitamin D, folate, iron, biotin, collagen, omega-3 fatty acids, and more. (Perelel has a helpful article here that dives into the difference between prenatal and postnatal vitamins!)

The pack also has a stress support blend that includes my number one favorite herb: Ashwagandha. This traditional ancient Indian herb has long been used for its anti-stress properties. It’s one I’ve turned to often in my life, and I notice a huge difference in my nervous system after taking it. Also included is L-theanine, an amino acid that promotes relaxation without drowsiness. It also improves focus — a huge help for postpartum brain fog.

The packaging makes these so easy to remember on the go or while traveling, and I’ve felt the effects of this combination in both my body and mind during my postpartum phase.

Daily Probiotic | $24.50/month

So much of our health starts in the gut from our immune function and hormones to mood. The gut is one of the functions of the body that takes a hit as a result of pregnancy and after birth. Bringing in a daily probiotic during and after pregnancy to replenish the body is key. While pregnant, it can help set up your baby’s microbiome and support vaginal health. After birth, a probiotic helps strengthen the immune system and supports the breakdown of nutrients for healing.

I’ve noticed my body tends to get a bit bloated after birth. There’s a lot of leftover space as the womb heals. I found there was an immediate difference in taking this probiotic in conjunction with my daily multi. I really like taking it at night before bed when my bloating is at its worst. By the morning, there’s no bloat and my digestion feels rebooted.

Cellular Hydration Powder | $46.50/month

This drink nourishes your whole body with electrolytes that are safe to take during both pregnancy and breastfeeding — plus, hyaluronic acid and collagen help you shine from the inside out. Yes, please. As any breastfeeding person knows, the dry Spongebob feeling is real. I’d been struggling with dry lips and skin from breastfeeding but also living in a cold climate. This powder has a blend of 6 electrolytes: Sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium, calcium, and phosphate. These electrolytes play a key role in replacing lost minerals and help keep water in the cells, while hyaluronic acid and bovine collagen help to restore skin hydration and tissue health.

As soon as I began drinking this powerhouse in my water each day, I saw a big change. My skin improved, I felt more hydrated, and my milk supply even got a boost from the sunflower lecithin which supports breastfeeding. I also love that there’s no added sugar, unlike other electrolytes I’ve tried. But, I should mention the mango-lemonade flavor is on the stronger side. You can dilute it with more water (maybe just 1 scoop in your 40 oz. Stanley!) — or I’d also love to try a flavor-free or different flavor option!

Electrolytes, hyaluronic acid, and collagen are among the star ingredients here to make sure to boost postpartum hydration to the max.

Synbiotic Greens Powder | $44.50/month

After a night of breastfeeding, my body craves nourishment and hydration in the morning. Turning to the greens powder replenishes my body right away. Now, the flavor — acai berry — did take some getting used to. I’ve found my favorite way to drink it is to add coconut water and a splash of lime. Once that was settled, it became the perfect morning drink for me before coffee. (It’s also delicious to add to a smoothie!)

This powder offers a daily boost of greens. It contains spirulina, spinach, kale, chlorella, and broccoli. It also contains prebiotics and probiotics. These ingredients support gut health and promote overall daily wellness. On top of that, it has a strong blend of antioxidants from berries and citrus which helps support a healthy immune system.

This refreshing powder has been a huge support for living in a cold climate. I’ve noticed my immune system feels super-powered and my energy levels are boosted after drinking this in the morning right when I wake up. While I waited a bit to take this one since I follow the traditional practice of keeping the body warm in the weeks following birth, Perelel ensures that the product is safe for women at all stages including pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Though it took me a little while to get used to the flavor, I really appreciate the boost of nourishing antioxidants this greens powder gives me first thing in the morning.

Sleep Support | $32.50/month

This sleep aid powder combines three types of bioavailable magnesium, each providing safe relaxation and sleep support for pregnancy and breastfeeding. I love that this blend is also combined with lemon balm, an herb with a long history of use in herbal medicine for supporting anxiety and stress.

My new nightly ritual is to add a scoop of Sleep Support to my favorite mug with warm water and sip as I do my bedtime routine. The honey lemon flavor is so yummy, and I love that it’s infused with lemon balm not only for the added stress reducer but also the flavor.

I sleep deeply but not too deep so I’m be able to wake up and breastfeed my baby. In the morning, I wake up feeling more refreshed and less tense. I’ve also noticed it helps my muscle tightness from carrying a baby and toddler around all day.

If there is one thing all postpartum people need it is sleep support, and this bioavailable magnesium and lemon balm powder does just that.

Conception Support Pack, 1st Trimester Prenatal Vitamin Pack, 2nd Trimester Prenatal Vitamin Pack, 3rd Trimester Prenatal Vitamin Pack | $49.50/month

Every stage of the pregnancy journey is completely different. From helping the body prepare for pregnancy to the hormonal changes in the third trimester. I love how Perelel has created these packs for targeted support during each trimester. I wish I’d known about them while trying to conceive and throughout my pregnancy!

Each pack has a core prenatal vitamin and omega DHA + EPA. It also includes extra vitamins for stage-specific hormonal needs. These are designed for both mom and baby in every trimester. The Conception Pack includes the core prenatal vitamin along with added Methyfolate and CoQ10. These support egg health and offer antioxidant benefits. The 1st-Trimester Pack contains added methyfolate to support your baby’s early development. It also features an herbal blend of B6 and ginger to help with nausea — amazing! The 2nd-Trimester Pack has added calcium and magnesium to ease muscle cramps and support the baby’s skeletal development. The 3rd-Trimester Pack includes a probiotic. This helps support immune function, vaginal health, and digestion, which slow down during this time.

Five Peretel prenatal and conception support packs in various colors are lined up on a shelf against a white wall.
The best thing about Perelel is that they do not take a one-size-fits-all approach to supplement support! Instead, they target the needs of each stage of conception to postpartum so you get exactly what you need when you need it most.

So, is Perelel worth it?

After trying these products for over a month, I am sold on their benefits! I’m now on the subscription plan for the Mom Multi Support Pack and will continue to refill the other powders as I run out (they offer subscription frequency of 30, 45, and 60 days for the powders).

“After trying these products for over a month, I am sold on their benefits!”

Perelel is a brand that’s truly here to support the body and our baby’s during the most crucial time when support is needed most. There’s no guesswork with Perelel’s supplements because the research has been done for you by their team of doctors. Each hand-selected ingredient is thoroughly researched and added to benefit your health. For those in the conceiving phase, or looking for additional support during postpartum, Perelel is for you.
