11 Refillable Cleaning Brands
The Good Trade editors endorse products we’ve personally researched, tested, and genuinely love. Learn more about our methodology and business model here.
Our team has prioritized clean products in our homes for years — these are our favorite nontoxic cleaning brands that offer refills so you can easily stay sustainable.
What we spray, wipe, and clean with in our homes becomes part of what we take in every day. Each dish soap, all-purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, and toilet cleaner — really all of the cleaning products we use – has an impact. So, we love prioritizing nontoxic and sustainable cleaning products — especially ones that offer eco-friendly refill options. Beyond being good for the planet, it also helps us easily stick to our cleaning routine. 🧼
Refillable cleaning brands allow you to reuse the same bottles and containers over and over, significantly reducing plastic and water usage. Not to mention, buying refills is cheaper than buying products full-size. That’s especially true with the brands that offer concentrate options, where you mix their formula with the water in your own home. We love that it takes up less space, goes a long further for the amount of money you spend, and it never runs out!
All of these brands offer great refillable options made with nontoxic ingredients and sustainable materials in mind. We love that they’re reducing our plastic and water usage, and keeping our expenses low, all while using ingredients we’re confident in using around our families, pets, and guests.
Why should you consider sustainable and nontoxic cleaning products?
We use cleaning products in our homes every day. Whatever we’re spraying and scrubbing around stays in our home long after we’re done cleaning, lingering on surfaces and vaporizing into the air. Exposure to harmful chemicals can cause allergies, irritation, or worse. Not to mention, cleaning products with toxic chemicals can wreak havoc on aquatic life when rinsed down the drain. That’s why we’ve shifted to nontoxic cleaning products, gravitating toward cleaners that make our homes feel clean and keep our home and environment safe and healthy.
These nontoxic cleaning products also have refillable options to cover all areas of your home, from laundry to dishes to hand soap. It can be intimidating to choose a refillable cleaning brand, because, in theory, you’d stick with them forever! So we’ve done the hard work to spotlight our favorites so you can be confident when you buy that first glass bottle and the many refills to follow.
