Summary: I tested the new INA Thrust from luxury pleasure brand LELO, a dual-motor thrusting rabbit vibrator, to see if it is worth the $239 price tag. The INA Thrust is designed to provide clitoral and G-spot stimulation with eight modes and 16 intensity levels, using DynamicThrustโ„ข and SmoothRiseโ„ข technology to create a powerful sensory experience that mimics the real deal. Itโ€™s fully waterproof with an impressively long-lasting battery, with app connection that gives multiple control options, plus additional modes to find exactly the right combination that will put you over the edge. So, is the INA Trust worth buying? TL;DR: OMG YES.

What I love:

  • LELOโ€™s attention to detail shines everywhere as usual, from the beautiful metallic shell and purple color of silky-soft silicone, itโ€™s aesthetically pleasing and also both comfortable and easy to use.
  • The size and shape of the INA Thrust is thoughtfully what the internet might call โ€œboyfriend sizeโ€ โ€” aka, not too big or too small, but designed to be compatible with the most vulvas and vaginas as possible. In other words: The toy proves the idea that itโ€™s not the size that matters, but how you use it.
  • The app offers a swipe and shake control option for navigating the modes and intensity levels, which eliminate the accidental button-pushes that can sometimes happen at crucial moments when operating in manual mode.
  • LELOโ€™s DynamicThrustโ„ข and SmoothRiseโ„ข technologies deserve some engineering awards, stat! The thrusting motions are surprisingly non-mechanical (no jackhammers!) and there are no jarring transitions between intensities, delivering something more dynamic and closer to human intercourse than I ever thought possible.
  • Not only does the battery life last an impressive 2 hours of continuous use, but the motors donโ€™t weaken over time โ€” not even while fully submerged in the bath!

Things to keep in mind:

  • The dual motor means that there is a motor for the clit massager and for the thrusting shaft โ€” which means that if you require your sex toys to be silent, then you should know it reaches a max noise level of 63 decibels, or the equivalent of a face-to-face conversation
  • It comes with its own USB charger, so you will need a brick or adapter to accommodate that.
  • The clitoral massager is flexible, but itโ€™s also kind of hard โ€” vulvas with very sensitive clits or anyone who prefers a suction stimulator might not love this one (but important to note โ€” it can be turned off!).
  • While Iโ€™m generally reluctant to use an app if I can do it manually, the best experience with this toy is 100% through app control.
  • This thrusting sex toy is over $200, so not exactly cheap. However, for anyone looking for an investment toy that provides blended orgasms, the INA Thrust should be a serious contender. (Plus, TGT readers can use code 20TRADE for 20% off!)

No one is more surprised than I am that I am currently experiencing the most confidence and satisfaction in the bedroom of my entire life.

I am, like most women my age, exhausted and stressed pretty much 100% of the time. I have gained the mystery 15 lbs that heralds perimenopause; I am managing my young childโ€™s chronic illness 24/7; I start every day with an impossible list of to-dos and I go to bed every night with a list that seems somehow bigger.

“No one is more surprised than I am that I am currently experiencing the most confidence and satisfaction in the bedroom of my entire life.”

My husband and I manage our responsibilities best by passing the baton, which means if we arenโ€™t careful, we can go full days living almost separate lives, only crossing paths long enough to say good morning and good night. And on the days we manage to see each other more, it seems like we simply trade off being annoyed with one other, letting the anxieties and irritations of our individual workloads spill out between us.

None of this, youโ€™d think, is the basis of a good sex life.

But for the last year or so, Iโ€™ve been on a real journey exploring different styles of sex toys from Swedish luxury pleasure brand LELO. With a very limited personal history with sex toys and vibrators previously, Iโ€™ve been exploring the various types of sensations in classic magic wands and rabbit models with gusto, experiencing the new-to-me clitoral suction vibrators, and even trying some unique designs that introduced me to pleasure zones I didnโ€™t even know I had (oh, hello there โ€œA-spotโ€).

And in the course of reviewing, Iโ€™ve learned so much about my body and what gives me pleasure, discovering new ways to enjoy sex both on my own and with my partner. Because while itโ€™s fun and sometimes even surreal to realize that it is sometimes my job to masturbate, the impact that this experience has had on my life goes much deeper.

Before my LELO journey, I had one vibrator that I used sporadically mostly for solo play. Once I started reviewing sex toys, I began routinely experimenting with them during partner sex too, and there is truly no going back now.

Testing sex toys encouraged me to spend more time exploring how to make my body feel good, which was a game-changing investment in my sex life โ€” and my confidence. My ever-expanding collection of toys has broadened my notions of what good sex can look and feel like, strenghtening my libido and the quality of my pleasure.

“Testing sex toys encouraged me to spend more time exploring how to make my body feel good, which was a game-changing investment in my sex life โ€” and my confidence.”

Now, even when we are in the throes of peak stress, sex isnโ€™t something I have to or should do, but something I am looking forward to โ€” because I know that no matter how anxious or tired or uninspired I feel before we get started, we have so many tried and true tools that are guaranteed to make me feel good.

This means that the seemingly impossible has happened: Iโ€™ve found myself โ€” a middle-aged married mother engulfed in the grind of all that entails โ€” not mourning the death of my sex life, but celebrating its massive boom. (Punโ€ฆ intended?)

All this to say: I tried LELOโ€™s new rabbit-style thrusting vibrator, INA Thrust, and buckle up yโ€™all, because this cute little toy is possibly the only one you need.

What is a thrusting rabbit vibrator?

Rabbit vibrators are toys designed to provide internal vaginal stimulation and external clitoral massage for a blended orgasm experience. A classic rabbit stimulates with vibrations on both the internal wand and the external clit massager; a thrusting rabbit vibrator delivers everything the classic rabbit designs do and then some, with an internal wand that can move in a longitudinal back-and-forth rhythm, mimicking a thrusting penis during intercourse.

“A thrusting rabbit vibrator delivers everything the classic rabbit designs do and then some.”

At first glance, the INA Thrust looks like LELOโ€™s other rabbit-style vibrators: Itโ€™s a phallus-shaped silicone vibrator with a smaller clitoral massage arm. But when I actually removed the toy from the package, I could instantly tell the difference between the INA Thrust and the other models.

While the shapes are nearly identical, and the insertable length of 4.3 inches is the standard across all three models, the internal wand is pliable and ridged in the INA Thrust, while the SORAYA’s is stiff and inflexible. (I havenโ€™t held the non-thrusting INA models, but they appear to be similarly firm like the SORAYA.)

The INA Thrust has two motors โ€” one for the clitoral massager, and one for the thrusting shaft. The โ€œthrustโ€ looks like the shaft going back and forth in various patterns, vibrating as it moves. Silky soft silicone over the ridged machine beneath creates a rhythmic movement that seems almost organic and undulating, rather than robotic. Itโ€™s just stiff enough, in other words, with enough pliability to mimic an actual erection during intercourse.

Testing the INA Thrust

As always, LELO ships quickly in discreet packaging. Like all the sex toys Iโ€™ve tried, the INA Thrust arrives with a USB-Charging Cord, a satin storage pouch, warranty registration card, and detailed instruction manual.

The first thing I do with any new toy is charge it, so that initial testing has the benefit of full power. Then I clean it, grab my favorite LELO personal moisturizer, and settle in for a thorough getting-to-know-you session with my new toy.

At first, I played around with the manual buttons to just see and feel with my hands what I could expect on my clit and in my vagina. Though the clitoral massager is flexible, it was definitely a bit stiffer than what Iโ€™ve gotten accustomed to with the SORAYA. Or maybe itโ€™s that the clitoral massager is curved more inward than the SORAYAโ€™s โ€” a difference in millimeters that looks small, but can feel massive in practice.

I was curious how much โ€œthrustingโ€ the INA Thrust was capable of doing, and how much of it I would have to maneuver it and from what position. While I held the vibe in my hand, the thrusting modes all looked the same, but they sounded different as I toggled between and played with the intensities. The shape of the shaft has an almost bulbous center and a tapered end when itโ€™s not moving, but it stretches out to a shape thatโ€™s more similar to the SORAYAโ€™s at its longest point. It isnโ€™t as dramatic to see, but again, even the tiny, most seemingly subtle distinctions can feel hugely different on our very sensitive vulvas and vaginas.

When I finally inserted the INA Thrust into my vagina, I was honestly a little disappointed. The angle seemed to be too narrow for my anatomy, and I had a hard time finding a way to get the internal stimulation to reach my G-spot (located a few inches up into the front wall of the vaginal canal, facing the stomach) without feeling like I was going to blow my clit off with the very powerful vibrating massager.

But as an optimist and now-seasoned sex toy reviewer, I knew better than to call the whole thing off. I fiddled around with the settings and with my position until I was comfortable. It took a little time, but we got there!

My tip for any first runs on a new toy: Thereโ€™s always a learning curve. Donโ€™t be dismayed if you donโ€™t experience instant pleasure on the first try!

“My tip for any first runs on a new toy: Thereโ€™s always a learning curve. Donโ€™t be dismayed if you donโ€™t experience instant pleasure on the first try!”

As Iโ€™ve mentioned in previous reviews, I am wary of using an app for masturbation. Iโ€™m just not sold on potentially sharing that sort of bio data, and Iโ€™ve never felt the need to go to the app when I could reach orgasm perfectly well without it. But it became clear to me pretty quickly that the INA Thrust was not going to be the same story.

Like the illustrations on the productโ€™s web page, I found the most comfortable and effective position to use the INA Thrust is in a semi-reclined position, propped up on pillows, with legs bent so I can hold the toy from underneath my upper thigh. Once things get going, however, this makes toggling the manual buttons a real logistical challenge. More than once, I accidentally clicked the wrong button, switching modes or even turning it off at exactly the wrong moment. It only took one thwarted orgasm from fumbling the buttons to make me cave on using the app โ€” and reader, I can say with full confidence that ignoring the app control with the INA Thrust is a mistake you donโ€™t want to make.

“I can say with full confidence that ignoring the app control with the INA Thrust is a mistake you donโ€™t want to make.”

After downloading the free LELO app, it takes mere seconds to find the toy on it and then pair via Bluetooth. From there, a screen opens up with four operating modes: Screwing, Swiping, Shaking, and Manual. Each screen has the modes in a dropdown menu at the bottom, and when you click on each, a visual pattern for motor 1 and motor 2 indicates what to expect.

Instantly, it became clear that not using the app deprives the user of this information โ€” I had no idea which mode was which while I blindly fumbled for buttons pressed against my perineum, and using the app makes it much clearer.

The operating modes allow you to control the intensity of each mode, either by turning the phone (Screwing), shaking the phone (Shaking), or touching your finger to a sort of Y graph (Swiping). Swiping was my preference, though I can see how Screwing might be better for anyone who wouldnโ€™t want to touch their screen during sex. Shaking seemed mildly insane to me, but to each their own!

The app-exclusive additional offering is under Advanced Mode โ€” Finish Me Off, which is ideal for when you are getting close enough that surrendering to a home stretch pattern to push you over the edge is what youโ€™re looking for; and Out of Control, which is, as far as I can tell, all the settings put on โ€œrandom.โ€

Iโ€™ll be honest โ€” at first I couldnโ€™t imagine what kind of person would choose to hand the controls of their vibrator to Animal from the muppets, but I have since discovered that I am that kind of person. Because if you follow the LELO suggestions for use (warm up with the clit massager first, getting yourself aroused and ready before diving in), using Out of Control while extremely horny creates the experience of being teased by your partner. If you like edging or orgasm denial, and using a toy that makes you literally beg sounds hot to you, then my friend, you too are the kind of person who would enjoy Animal going Out of Control on your vibe experience.

“I couldnโ€™t imagine what kind of person would choose to hand the controls of their vibrator to Animal from the muppets, but I have since discovered that I am that kind of person.”

The thing I discovered about positioning the INA Thrust for maximum pleasure is that she works best if you ease into the experience. She is a powerful tool, and the vibrating massager might feel like too much if youโ€™re trying to navigate the thrusting shaft before your body is fully relaxed and aroused.

So my advice is to go all in: Romance yourself a bit. Put on something sexy and silky, or get under the sheets completely naked. (Or hop in the bath if that’s more your speed โ€” she’s 100% waterproof, after all!) Play some music, or listen to some audio erotica. Be generous with the lube, and start off slow, warming up around your clit if itโ€™s especially sensitive, or even through your underwear.

I found that the best way to get the blended orgasm the INA Thrust is designed for on my anatomy is to keep the insertion angle pretty shallow. My G-spot likes pressure, so by angling the vibrator tightly against the anterior wall of my vaginal canal, it not only gave me the most internal pleasure, but it also positioned the clitoral massager in a more comfortable location for me to have the best of both worlds.

Every vulva and vagina are shaped differently, but with a little curiosity and patience, this flexible, well-designed thrusting vibrator is sure to adapt to your anatomy. And once youโ€™ve found the combination that works for you, the payoff is truly spectacular.

“Once youโ€™ve found the combination that works for you, the payoff is truly spectacular.”

Yes, she is loud. But with that level of power and stamina, I honestly could not care less. Plus, once I got the positioning and the settings where I wanted them, it was basically a hands-free situation. For me and the carpal tunnel I developed in pregnancy that never really went away, that alone might be worth the cost of the $239 price tag.

While it might not seem like an internal vibrator is ideal for partnered sex, the INA Thrust is actually a super fun guest star in the bedroom. Sheโ€™s obviously great for a warm up, and my spouse was a huge fan of both watching me use it and using it on me. But because not all sex has to be penis-in-vagina-until-ejaculation, sheโ€™s a great supplement no matter what might be on the menu โ€” I personally recommend using the INA Thrust during oral sex. Trust me.

My final thoughts

Spending the equivalent of my familyโ€™s weekly grocery budget on a sex toy might seem like a stretch for some people โ€” and I get that! There are tons of toys on the market, and much more budget-friendly options out there. But I will say that not all vibrators are created equal, and in some cases, you definitely get what you pay for. A cheaper toy is likely to have a less powerful motor, a weaker battery life, and likely to die after a dozen or so uses in less than a year.

LELO toys are high quality investments that are guaranteed to deliver on your pleasure. The reviews are testaments of longevity and performance, with customers who have owned and used their LELO toys for 10+ years. As a collector of the brand myself, I can personally confirm that these are not cheaply built sex toys made from crappy materials, but innovative, intentionally designed products that you can rely on for deepening your connection to your pleasure and your sex life.

“If you are looking for a toy that will deliver a blended orgasm, and you enjoy powerful clitoral stimulation and the sensations of penetrative sex, the INA Thrust might be the only vibrator you need.”

If you are looking for a toy that will deliver a blended orgasm, and you enjoy powerful clitoral stimulation and the sensations of penetrative sex, the INA Thrust might be the only vibrator you need. If you are more interested in clit suction rabbit vibrators, I recommend the ENIGMAโ„ข โ€”a slightly more affordable investment at $200. (Psst, and don’t forget: LELO has offered TGT readers a discount code, too โ€” use 20TRADE for a stackable discount at checkout.)

Overall, the INA Thrust is another excellent design from a brand I trust to truly deliver on the promises every one of their products makes, reminding me that I deserve to prioritize my pleasure, and my body is worthy of celebration by making it feel really, really good.
